The Department of Workforce and Community Education at South Arkansas Community College has created more new community education classes that will be starting soon.
Culinary Knife Skills covers appropriate knife selection and basic cutting skills. Professional culinary knives will be provided for use in class. The cost is $45 for the two classes (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 and Oct. 28 in Room 115 of the Center for Workforce Development, 3696 E. Main Road).
Beginner American Sign Language is $35 (5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 24 and 31 and Nov. 7 and 14 in Room 121 of the Center for Workforce Development, 3696 E. Main Road).
Line dancing lessons are $15 a month and include all types of line dance, not just country (5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the SouthArk Gymnasium, 300 S. West Ave.).
SouthArk’s community education classes are designed to be instructional, educational and fun. They do not carry college credit.
