The ACAP Program Director reports directly to the Dean of Workforce and Continuing Education. The ACAP Program Director works closely with business and industry clients, community agencies, schools, and college personnel to carry out the following job responsibilities and expectations:
Responsibilities:
• Outreach and build workplace relationships with community, business, and education partners.
• Recruit and retain students.
• Develop and implement program curriculum that helps students learn workplace and life skills.
• Coordinate and oversee supplemental teaching environments.
• Advocate to ensure students are provided quality education according to their needs and goals.
• Maintain student internships and establish new ones with local businesses and organizations.
• Further develop administrative policies and procedures.
• Manage program expenses.
• Inform students of financial aid deadlines.
• Responsible for ensuring students follow AMP guidelines for payment of tuition.
• Organize records and supplies.
• Seek out grant opportunities to help with program growth.
• Instruct in classroom as needed.
• Manage and supervise Extra Help Instructors.
• Be an active part of the SouthArk community.
