Adult Education

The Adult Education Program provides Arkansas residents with the opportunity to improve their basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Students may work on basic skills to improve their ACT scores, to take the Official GED Test, to improve their employability skills, to
advance their workplace skills, or to gain personal satisfaction. The core Adult Education programs are GED, WAGE, and ESL.

Locations and Enrollment Process

The SouthArk Adult Education program serves students in both Union and Bradley counties.

To enroll in Adult Education:
  • Contact the center in your county to complete an enrollment form
  • Bring your Arkansas photo id or other approved document for proof of residency
  • Bring your Social Security card (preferred, but not required)
  • Schedule and complete the required pre-test
  • Meet with your advisor to create your class schedule and set your academic goals
