Natural Sciences
The natural sciences at South Arkansas College are an integral part of all the health science and education programs. These courses provide critical background knowledge essential to success in all health science certificate and degree programs as well as other programs. Grades earned in natural science courses are calculated into the grade point average (GPA) for admission into professional programs.
Many other colleges and universities offer professional baccalaureate and graduate level degree programs in the natural sciences. SouthArk students can complete an Associate of Arts degree and transfer those credits to health and natural science majors at other colleges and universities in degree programs such as:
Biochemistry
Biological Sciences
Chemistry
Chiropractic
Dentistry
Medicine
Mortuary Science
Nursing
Pharmacy
Veterinary Science
Students who are planning to transfer to other colleges and universities should always correspond with an advisor in the program to which they plan to transfer to formulate a plan of study and make sure that all courses completed at SouthArk will transfer to that degree program.
