The purpose of SAWTEC is to create and coordinate a formal system to carry out a cooperative program designed to meet the common training/education needs of members by determining those needs on a regular basis, planning training curriculum, setting training schedules, selecting training providers, and determining fees. All businesses or industries in the South Arkansas region are eligible to apply for membership in SAWTEC. To maintain membership, a business or industry must contribute annual dues. Meeting Details
The SAWTEC committee meets twice per year. Each company receives one vote at the meeting. Typically, one or two people attend from each organization. Alternative representatives are encouraged to attend if the primary contact is unavailable.
Fees
There are three membership levels from which to choose.
Corporate ($500)
Business ($250)
General ($100)
Benefits
Benefits of SAWTEC membership include:
$100 training credit to one consortium requested training program,
Access to qualified consortium classes discounted by grants,
And discounts on eligible SouthArk training programs.
The SouthArk discounts are as follows:
Corporate - 20%
Business - 15%
General - 10%.
