Professional Licensure Disclosures
Professional License Disclosure
Federal regulations require South Arkansas College (SouthArk) to disclose whether its degree programs meet U.S. jurisdictions’ educational requirements for licensure (34 CFR 668.43(a)(6) & 34 CFR 668.72(n)).
Each state and territory have different professional licensure and certification requirements. In addition to academic requirements, licensure applicants may also need to complete professional examinations, background checks, years of work experience, fingerprinting requirements, etc. Students must contact individual state licensing boards regarding testing and non-academic requirements.
Students who wish to enroll in a SouthArk program that requires licensure post graduation must contact their SouthArk advisor prior to enrollment regarding out-of-state licensure information. The academic programs listed below are designed to prepare students for a career in a licensed profession upon successful completion of the program.
The provided tables indicate one of the following:
Yes = the program does satisfy educational requirements for licensure in the given state; however, additional testing and nonacademic requirements may be necessary.
No = the program does not satisfy educational requirements for licensure in the given state. Additional requirements are necessary.
To be Determined (TBD) = we have not yet determined if the program satisfies educational requirements in a particular state.
If you have questions about professional licensure requirements in your chosen field, you should discuss the issues with your program advisor, program director, or review the specific state agency guidelines.
