Students can NOT use smart phones or Chrome books to take a Respondus Lockdown Browser exam or quiz.
You can enable certain tablets to be used with Respondus Lockdown Browser, yet we recommend students to use their computers.

Recommended steps for STUDENTS taking a quiz or exam using Respondus Lockdown Browser:
If your course is in Ultra View,
- Close all programs on your computer before logging into Blackboard to take your quiz or exam using Respondus Lockdown Browser.
- Click and open your course where you you need to complete your exam that requires Respondus Lockdown Browser.
- Search and click open your Test.
- If Respondus Lockdown prompts you to close an open program choose YES to close any open programs.
- Click and save your test answers.
- Click the Submit Button to submit your test.
If your course is in Original View,
- Close all programs on your computer before opening Respondus Lockdown Browser.
- Once all the programs on your computer are closed, open Respondus Lockdown Browser.
- If Respondus Lockdown prompts you to close an open program choose YES to close any open programs.
Once Respondus Lockdown Browser opens it will automatically navigate to the SouthArk BlackBoard website. - Login to Blackboard.
- Click and open your course where you you need to complete your exam that requires Respondus Lockdown Browser.
- Search and click open your Test.
- Click and save your test answers.
- Click the Submit Button to submit your test.
- Close the browser opened by Respondus Lockdown Browser.
If you are having troubles and being asked for a password to open Respondus, it is because you have opened it in your web browser. You need to click on the Respondus Icon ON YOUR DESKTOP and then proceed to BlackBoard
