Community Resource Guide

College life brings about many changes for students, especially for those students juggling multiple roles, such as supporting a family or working full-time. Student Support Services is working hard at providing the highest quality student support, including academic support and disability-related services, to help ensure that our students are successful in and out of the classroom. Our highly skilled staff assists students with needs associated with disability, interpersonal violence prevention, and personal counseling, tutoring, and testing services. We work very closely with the faculty to ensure an optimal learning environment for our students.

Students do not need an appointment to speak to our staff. We have an open-door policy. To ensure that you are seen in a timely manner, feel free to make an appointment with the Director of Counseling and Disability Support Services at 870-875-7235 or by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. For tutoring and testing services, visit the Testing Center page or the Learning Center page for other academic support services.

Student Support Services provides campus-wide training related to the Clery Act, Campus Save, Title IX, and the Violence Against Women Act legislation in an effort to provide a safe environment for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors. All faculty, staff, and new students are encouraged to complete a brief online course. To further promote awareness and prevention of sexually based crime, workshops are available and are free of charge.

Presentations can be scheduled upon request.  Presentations can be requested on topics such as stress management, time management, managing anxiety, healthy relationships, understanding Title IX, etc.  Professors, student groups, faculty, and other staff are encouraged to utilize this service by contacting This email address is being protected from spambots.
