CAREER CLOSET

The Career Closet serves students who need professional attire for job interviews or work.  The Career Closet includes men's and women's clothing and accessories.  It is a free service for students.  If you are in need, please e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. SOUTHARK FOOD PANTRY

The  SouthArk Food Pantry serves needy students and employees with bags of nutritious food.   It is now located in the SouthArk Library.  It is a free service.  If you are in need, please e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS

Donations for non-perishable foods can be left at the collection boxes across campus or at the office of Dr. Ken Bridges, Food Pantry Director (WHT 206).  While we are grateful for anything you can offer, please understand that the SouthArk Food Pantry has to abide by very strict rules of sanitation and hygiene.  As a result, we have to be selective in what we can receive and give out to our clients.

What You Can Donate:

  • Non-Perishable Foods, including:
    • Rice (bags of about 1 pound each)
    • Ramen noodles
    • Soup
    • Canned fruit
    • Canned vegetables
    • Beans (bags or cans)
    • Peanut Butter
    • Canned Meat (Spam, Ravioli, etc.)
    • Cereal and oatmeal if it is a few months from the expiration date.
    • Plastic bags ( Wal-Mart,  Brookshires, etc. -- for bagging cans for clients)
  • Toiletries, such as:
    • laundry detergent
    • toilet paper (individually wrapped rolls)
    • toothbrushes (still packaged)
    • toothpaste
    • Paper towels (individually wrapped rolls)
    • deodorant (men's and women's)
    • shaving cream 

If you suspect a student or even a staff member is in need, please feel free to remind co-workers and students about the SouthArk Food Pantry and Career Closet.
